*Bond checks are collected annually for equipment, uniforms, and volunteer hours.
How long is the cheer season and how often is practice?
The season officially starts the first week of August and ends in late October for non- competitive teams and in December for competitive teams that qualify for competition at Pop Warner Nationals in Orlando. Cheer teams practice Monday through Thursday in August from 6:00 to 8:30 pm at Copper Hill School. In September, indoor cheer practice days and times vary by team but will not exceed 3 times per week. These practices take place at the Nest, the Home of Falcons Cheer.
Are uniforms included?
Cheer uniforms are supplied by the Flemington Falcons, however, there are other items that will need to be purchased each season and will be communicated before the start of the season.
Where are home/away games played?
Home games are played at Hunterdon Central Regional High School. There are approximately 4 home games a year and 4 away games. Away games are typically no more than 60 minutes away. In the event a team qualifies for post regular season games or tournaments, the organization expects the team to continue practicing and to attend representing the Falcons.
Are parents required to volunteer?
Yes, all families are required to fulfill volunteer hours. Parents are required to volunteer their time to the organization for 8 hours for the first athlete, 12 hours if you have two athletes, and 15 hours for families with three or more athletes. Your help is needed in various positions to help the organization through your time and involvement. Positions include practice football field preparation, game day duties in the snack shack, gate and 50/50 sales, and field assistance to name a few. Falcons Cheer is a volunteer organization and there is ALWAYS something you could do to help out.
