Legacy

The Falcons were established in 1967, culminating in an organization with over 50 years of experience teaching the fundamentals of football, cheer and the values of good sportsmanship while also focusing on safety. The Falcon's legacy has been to prepare our players to compete and exceed as members of their High School Football and Cheer teams.

Accomplishments

Flemington Falcons Cheerleading is a nationally recognized cheer organization in Hunterdon County. The program had ranked in the top third at the Pop Warner National Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, Florida and in has been first in the nation in YCADA Globals since that conference began in 2018. Many of our athletes continue the love of the spirit and the sport once they move into high school. The Falcons are a feeder team for the Hunterdon Central Cheerleading team, and many former Falcons have gone on to win titles for that team at UCA Nationals in Disney World.

Health & Safety

The Falcons remain proactive on all medical issues that affect football and cheerleading, with a primary focus on prevention and proper identification and treatment of concussions, hydration awareness, proper nutrition guidelines, and general health and safety issues. Our coaches take an annual concussion training class, are certified in the Rutgers Safety, and at least one coach per team is CPR certified.

Pop Warner

The Falcons are part of Pop Warner, a non-profit organization that provides youth football and cheer & dance programs for participants in 42 states and several countries around the world. Our season does not end in October. Several Falcon teams have competed in regional, state and national post-season tournaments and Pop Warner National “Super Bowl” games annually.

Pop Warner Nationals

The Falcons represent Central Jersey Pop Warner at the Pop Warner National Championships in Orlando, Florida each December. The Falcons have sent multiple cheer teams to the Pop Warner Nationals several years in a row and have consistently brought back multiple 1st and 2nd place trophies! Falcon teams compete against the best in the nation!

Participation

Flemington Falcons believes that all children should be able to participate. There are no tryouts for any of our nationally ranked cheerleading teams. Everyone,, ages 5-15 is welcome to participate in our program, learn new skills and make new friends! Cheerleaders are generally grouped by age and grade.

Little Scholars, Inc.

Pop Warner National Little Scholars, Inc. is the only national youth sports organization in America that requires its participants to perform adequately in the classroom before permitting them to play. The participants in the Pop Warner program are unique as opposed to those of other programs. While they are taught about the values of competition, they are also maintaining their grades at a satisfactory level in order to attain the ultimate prize of being named a Pop Warner National Champion. Each year, the most academically accomplished Pop Warner kids compete for Academic All-American status. This process begins at the association level and up through each of the eight Pop Warner regions to the national level. The Falcons encourages and recognizes the academic achievements of our football and cheer team members, and we are proud to say that we continue to have several Little Scholars Gold and Silver Medal winners every year!
