Falcons extended season begins with a sweep!
Three first place trophies for all three Falcons Cheer Teams!
Falcons Extended Cheer season is off to a great start, bringing home three first place wins for all three competitive cheer teams! On Sunday, March 8th, the cheerleaders competed at the Cheer All About It Cheerleading Competition at Timber Creek High School.
The Mini White team led by Head Coach Lauren Giordano, performed at the highest level for recreational cheer in the youngest division. “We really pushed the girls and had a very ambitious routine, and they really pulled it off! We couldn’t be prouder of their performance,” said Giordano. Assisting Coach Lauren this season are Coaches Chelsea Young, Michelle Blane, Kristen Bannon, and Kristen Ferraez along with Student Coaches Abby Giordano, Emily Augustus, Jordan Pozarycki, and Kami DiBlasio.
The Youth Black team, guided by Head Coach Corisa Jensen, dominated the mats on Sunday in their first competition since capturing the YCADA Globals title in February. “I’m so impressed with how amazing this team performed! We had less than a month to learn a brand new routine for this extended season, and had so many girls out due to injuries and illness, but they did it! We are so thrilled,” according to Coach Jensen. Assisting Coach Corisa is Coach Heather Bochnovich and Student Coaches Emily Jensen and Elizabeth Jensen.
Our Varsity Gold team, led by Head Coach Renee Brandt, followed the two younger sister teams with a fantastic performance on Sunday. “This team amazes me with how they were able to overcome two major injuries where two main backspots were hurt outside of cheer. They never stopped believing! I couldn’t be more proud of them!” Brandt is assisted by Gretchen Stetson, Jill Pesarchick, Debbie Lavish, Jenn Gronlund Campbell, Amy Sova and Kristen Hutchins. Student Coaches Taylor Brandt, Danielle Livornese, Devon Stetson and Skylar Brandt created and taught this winning routine.
Falcons Cheer will continue the extended season with a competition at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ and end with the Bowie Cheer Challenge in Bowie, MD, just outside Washington, DC later this month.
